Compliance documentation and settlement tracking for UK employers holding Skilled Worker sponsor licences.
UK sponsor licence holders got a new round of guidance updates from the Home Office in Spring 2026. More documentation duties per sponsored worker, clearer reporting obligations, and a narrower window to fix things before a licence review goes badly.
Most HR teams I’ve spoken to are managing this in spreadsheets. Sometimes a shared folder with scanned documents. The guidance itself is 100+ pages of dense government prose, and the stakes are high: get it wrong and you’re looking at a licence suspension or revocation.
At the same time, a lot of sponsored workers are approaching settlement eligibility under the earned-settlement rules. That’s a different set of deadlines that HR teams are also tracking manually.
Settle is a platform that handles both. Compliance documentation, duty tracking per worker, and settlement journey timelines. There’s also an AI assistant backed by RAG over the actual Home Office documents, so when someone asks “do I need to report this?”, the answer cites the specific paragraph rather than guessing.
Stack
Django 5 and DRF handle the core: tenancy, RBAC, the compliance rules engine, and settlement tracking. The AI service is a separate FastAPI service with streaming and a pluggable model layer (currently Claude). Frontend is React on web and React Native for mobile, sharing types and components via Turborepo. Everything runs in containers with a single set of images across dev, staging, and prod.
