I've been building backend systems and data platforms for over 10 years. Most of that time
has been at PrivateCircle, where I joined as the 3rd engineer and eventually ran a
cross-functional team of 10 across Backend and DevOps. We built real-time financial data
products and the research platform now serving 500+ enterprise customers. My day-to-day
is Python (AsyncIO, FastAPI, Django) with MongoDB, Elasticsearch and RabbitMQ, hands-on
DevOps with Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible, and increasingly AI and MLOps work.

Sept 2017 - Present · Remote
- 3rd engineer to join the team; promoted from early engineer to Engineering Manager, leading a cross-functional team of 10 across Backend and DevOps.
- Scaled the engineering team from 3 to 10 — mentoring and coaching engineers, running code reviews, and setting best practices for microservices, CI/CD and infra automation.
- Led the Signals product, delivering real-time change events in financial data (feeds, newsletters) with Python AsyncIO, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, FastAPI and RabbitMQ — opening new revenue streams.
- Guided development of EntityMaster, a matching engine using ML + fuzzy logic to link companies and people across datasets.
- Drove cost optimization — self-managed databases, Linode→AWS for non-prod, and app migrations to Kubernetes — cutting monthly infra bills by 25%.
- Built AskPC, an agentic AI research assistant for PrivateCircle — a FastAPI orchestrator coordinating sub-agents for Indian company intelligence.
- Built the PrivateCircle research platform from the ground up, scaling it from pre-sales to 500+ enterprise customers.
