Automated Database Deployments

Owned the setup and automation of database clusters (MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ) with Ansible + Terraform, cutting provisioning from weeks to hours with health checks, backups and monitoring built in.

Overview

Took ownership of setting up and automating the platform’s stateful infrastructure — MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch and RabbitMQ clusters.

What I did

• Wrote Ansible + Terraform automation to spin up clusters in hours instead of weeks.
• Coordinated with DevOps teammates to keep clusters reliable — health checks, centralized logging, automated backups and monitoring.

Impact

Reliable, repeatable database provisioning became a non-event, freeing the team to focus on product work instead of hand-built infrastructure.
